TheLadders.com - Monsters (0)

Here's one of the recent projects that I worked on for TheLadders.com. It's a funny spot with a bunch of tiny monsters...mix of practical and cg. Another chance for me to work with Andy Boyd and learn many things in the process. I got to create the tiny rock that the monster throws at the window hehe. I also did some 3d roto for shadow interaction.

Ascent Media Logo (0)

Our parent company Ascent Media had put out an internal logo redesign contest which I had entered. Here's the final logo from the Ascent Media logo contest. It was a wonderful opportunity to be involved with the changing of the new logo. I honestly had no idea that it would come this far and am very grateful to have the logo chosen to represent Ascent Media Group. Throughout the design process, I was able to meet / collaborate with some really amazing people, Jose Royo (CEO of Ascent Media) & Teresa Jimenez (Creative Director of Ascent Media).

Xbox - 'Lips' (Take On Me) (0)

This is a :60 sec spot for the Xbox 360 karaoke game, 'Lips'. It was a really fun project to be a part of and had everyone in the studio singing 'Take On Me' while working. I did a lot of tracking/matchmoving, modeled the gums & teeth, and got a chance to play with Mudbox for some detail modeling of the wrinkles on Gomez's (the lips character) legs. The last shot where Gomez is sitting on his shoulder, was handtracked as well. Link to video / credit list.

Just finished working on 'Friday the 13th', which comes out in February 2009. I got to create a machete chest wound which was an 'interesting experience' to say the least. I also tracked/matchmoved a Cadillac Escalade and did some texturing for the cg car replacement.

Levis 501 "Unbreakable" 1

So this is the Japanese Levi's spot that I worked on starring 'TK'. I guess it's really cool to wear your jeans unbuttoned? For this project I did the previs animation in Maya which involved some rough character animation as well as camera animation. This was eventually used as a guide for the actual shoot which took place in Japan. The actor was shot on set against a green screen, and then the background was comped in. Link to 00:15 sec spot here.

'W' an Oliver Stone film (0)

Just finished working on 'W' or Dub-Ya hehe. It was pretty exciting for me to have the opportunity to work on my first feature film! For this project we put in some pretty intense hours because of an extremely short schedule/turnaround. I got to work on a variety of shots/sequences which involved 3D tracking, modeling, texturing, & a little bit of lighting as well. It was also a great learning experience being able to work with Andy Boyd, Sean Durnan, and Chris Bankoff who all have an excellent eye for things. Link to trailer / official website.

Audi A4 "Living Room" (Progress is Beautiful) 1

After working some pretty intense hours....the Method team were all very pleased with the results. CG had about 2 weeks to deliver this spot just in time for the opening of the Beijing Olympics. For this project I did some tracking, modeling, matte painting, and I got a chance to experiment with some Maya Paint Effects. I used paint effects to create the Ivy leaves on the house growing in reverse. Link to video here.
